Online Purchase Issues

I would like to complain and express my disappointment with Vodacom.

I placed an online order for a laptop / data bundle, waited I think just over a week for the delivery to arrive due to lack of stock I was told... No problem, that I can understand.

The problem - I opened the package delivered to me, and the laptop model was correct but the variant of laptop was not. I specifically ordered the Intel i7 laptop and what was delivered was an i5 laptop, which is a slower and cheaper version of what I purchased.

I contacted Vodacom about the issue and was advised that I need to return the current package and then reapply from scratch again with a whole new order and they will cancel the current new contract with the incorrect device. The Vodacom employee confirmed that the order was in fact the i7 unit, but that didn't seem to matter. So cancelation and collection of the package can take up 10 days I was told, and then I will need to wait probably another week for the new order to arrive. I needed a laptop for various reasons, potentially urgently and due to Vodacom's mistake that set's me back almost a month...

To top that off, the contract I purchased is no longer available, that bundle doesn't exist anymore and I told the Vodacom representative this, yet I was told there's nothing they can do.

How is it my loss for Vodacom's mistake. I requested that the correct device get sent and swapped with the incorrect device which can't be done I was advised.

Pleased tell me how correcting the incorrect device listed with the correct device serial and details on the system can't be done, and how is that not easier and better for everyone? I am the customer and the mistake was on Vodacom's side, yet non one can assist with correcting it. It's me and I must just follow process and reapply etc, just to lose the bundle I specifically purchased, and I must suffer for Vodacom's mistake.

I find that extremely unfair and if Vodacom isn't willing to assist me to fix their mistake, then I'm note convinced that
