Online application is causing me days of problems.
I am very disappointed in Vodacom!
I started an online application. A couple minutes after I submitted the application, I got a email that said that application is declined. There was no reason why it got declined. The next day I went to a Vodacom shop and they told me my application got denied because they don't have stock. I then went to the iStore to start the Vodacom application there for the specific iPad Air I want, which Vodacom does not have, nor have in stock. They then said they cannot complete my application, and they cannot see why. The person at iStore told me that I should be able to get a new contract.
I went to the Vodacom shop so that they can tell my what the problem is. The person there helped me and told me the my "line limit is reached". I only have one contract on my account already. She told me I should come back with 3 months bank statements so that my line limit can be increased, so that I can continue my application at the iStore.
I went back then with 3 months of bank statements, only for them to tell me I need to be a customer for at least 12 months before I can add an additional contract to my account, and that there is not way to increase that. Very rudely as well.
I then proceeded to call the online service center and the person just told me the online application failed, and I should wait 60/90 days before attempting a new application. Does not even attempt to help me! This is the 4th different reason why I cannot get a new contract.
I called again and got put through to the sales department where they told me to submit some files to their online admin department and got a ticket. That person also told me nothing is wrong with my account, I should have been able to get a new contract. It's been 24 hours since I got that ticket and no response (after I sent follow up emails as well). Since I did not get response, I decided to call the online customer care again to see if I can get a follow up on that ticket, and the person told me my online application failed because my credit score not high enough. This is the 5th different response I got, and that cannot be true, because I have a relatively good score. That person then put me through to online services, and that person looked at my account at said that it must be a system error and that he is going to call the back office to see what he can do to fix that, and that he will call me back. Now the system error is the 6th different reason, which is the most plausible one, because the other agents told me that my account looks fine, I should be able to get a new contract. He never phoned back, and I decided to call online services again directly, and that person told me that the only thing she can do is do a decline review (nothing about it being a system error). I asked the agent if she can cancel/remove that application, because it is currently stopping me from doing the iStore application (through Vodacom). The agent told me that if I cancel it, I need to wait another 60 days before I can start a new application. She gave me a email address I should sent my documents to so that she can do a decline review and continue the initial process.
This is pathetic!! No one can tell me what the real problem is, just 7 different reasons each time and not a single one can fix it! I am sick of everyone grabbing air each time I want to get it fixed! I want to cancel the online application one and continue with the iStore (through Vodacom) application, because they have the exact model and color I want. Now the agent tells me I need to wait 60 days after I cancel that one. I am having soo much trouble with the failed online application that is not even my fault! The iStore got the exact model and color I want, because Vodacom does not even offer that option! Let my cancel that faulty application so that I can continue with my iStore application.
The iPad is a gift to my Fiancée, that is why it's important for me to get the Rose Gold 256GB model quickly, then settle for a Space Gray 64GB model (which I need to wait almost a month for). This is pathetic! I just need that online application cancelled and continue with the iStore one to get the better model I want!! But now I will get penalized for something that went wrong on the Vodacom system and if I cancel that one, then I also get penalized for 60 days before getting a new one!
Beside the 2 applications, why not a single agent can help me solve this issue or not even take the initiative or effort to help me sort it out is unprofessional. There is 2 agents that did more to help me fix the problem. But the rest of the 20 that I contacted just did nothing.
Both of the contract route is through Vodacom, I like being with Vodacom. So I really hope that Vodacom can assist me in getting the model (and gift) I want and not needing to wait 60 days before being able to apply again and get that online application issue resoved/removed/ changed to the iStore application within this week.
She helped me get the 265GB Silver iPad Air one. Although getting the Rose Gold one would have been the best one to get, this is a 99% improvement in what I got previously.
I am sad and annoyed that I cannot cancel my application to continue it somewhere else that actually did have the device in stock that I can get it immediately, where both is via Vodacom, because of the 60 day wait time. This is something that should be able to get reviewed per customer and be able to remove that 60 day wait period to continue with the application in store.
