Online APP and support is a waste of time for those with no record of your old profiles that you don't remember

When a number is no longer in use - Networks will recycle the number and allow the number to be used again. But Vodacom doesn't realise that the App profile linking that recycled number will not allow you to register for a new profile as the entire profile is related to your ID number.

Calling Vodacom and asking them to do a search with your ID number to get the old profile cancelled - their system cannot search for that info. Neither can it be searched with your Name or Surname. And if you lucky to remember the number, they will ask you for a username!! How the hell is someone supposed to know this info.

Secondly, I do a online chat with an advisor to get the profile deleted so i can register my tablet number onto the App, she tells me the back office will get this sorted but because she doesnt know what they will say or do. So basically, I don't know if this is the correct procedure to get this issue resolved as I have already sent in an email to customercare and never received a response and tried sending a mail to head office which never received a response either.

I called the number on the app for support which is 082155 and I get through to 082111 who says that there is no support number for the App like it't advertised on THEIR app. Eventually I get to hear that I have to go in store to get the old profile deleted by a technician IN STORE!!!! I didnt do the **** application for the app in store - I did it ONLINE - so why should I run around Vodacom because they have failed to provide support online for this?

I called in store - and they told me that they can help me set up the new profile.. But that wasnt the question! The question was how WILL THEY BE ABLE TO DELETE my old one which is causing this problem which they cannot answer me.

Vodacom - I have left you before due to failure to deliver customer service and the only **** reason why I am here again is because of a tablet I received as a gift and this is s****ing the bottom of the barrel with your service delivery.

If you recycle numbers - Profiles need to be deleted too!!! I will be querying this matter with ICASA too - All information related to that number should archived when numbers are recycled.

I am giving Vodacom the 2 working days for that service request reference: A2-1TWG-KQSSZ.

When I requet to do forgot my password and I say that the number cannot receive sms's - it asks me for the SIM CARD NUMBER which i dont have anymore either.. So even trying to recover a password for a old profile is an impossible task.. Pathetic.. When I put in 20 zeros, it told me that it sent an sms to the number regarding the status of the online account.

This needs Vodacoms immediate attention as the entire process to help customers regarding my situation needs serious attention. In fact, I don't think I should be with Vodacom anymore either - I moved my mobile service to Telkom (What a JOY to have no issues with them. I call them up and issues resolved immediately... ) I am going to port out this number with raising an investigation with ICASA if Vodacom does not resolve this .. And they can flag me as a ambassador to damage their brand in every opportunity I get.. You really wasted my entire **** saturday afternoon!!! I WILL NOT GO INTO THE **** STORE !!!!!!!!!!!!

You have failed to respond in more than two weeks. Its pathetic that you as Vodacom is not taking this seriously. A person is using my old number even after i took in my ID book to show who I am and they said they couldnt help. So even after I do the very thing that I didnt want to do, you still cannot help. I want this escalated and I want the details of the person in charge of your Consumer Website Team too, there are now further issues that need to be addressed. Cause you just causing further insult to injuring and the purpose of the team shows me no benefit to me as a customer.
