Ongoing Poor Service and No Feedback from Vodacom – Extremely

I am extremely frustrated with Vodacom and their complete lack of service and communication.

I received an email from Vodacom stating that my query had been escalated to the CEO’s office, yet today there has been no follow-up, no communication, and no resolution. The silence is unacceptable, and my frustration continues to grow.

This entire experience has been a nightmare from the very beginning. Less than one month after taking out the contract, my brand-new phone had to be sent in for repairs. That alone was already unacceptable for a new device.

The situation worsened due to the unprofessional and unpleasant attitude of the manager at East Rand Mall, who was extremely difficult to deal with and offered no meaningful assistance.

At Lakeside Mall, I was informed that the device was an OBF (Out of Box Failure). Despite this, the Vodacom technician only performed a software update, during which all my photos and data were wiped. This data is irretrievably lost, and no warning or proper handling was provided.

I am now at a point where I cannot deal with Vodacom any longer. Taking out this contract in December was the worst decision I could have made. The service, support, and overall customer care have been shocking.

Vodacom is by far the worst service provider I have dealt with, and experiences like this are exactly why customers are never satisfied with their service. I expect proper feedback, accountability, and a resolution — not silence. I want this contract cancelled.
