Ongoing Connectivity Issues Since March 2025 – No Resolution from Vodacom

I am extremely frustrated with the ongoing lack of service from Vodacom.

I have been experiencing continuous connectivity issues since March 2025. A technician was sent out to conduct tests, yet I was later informed by the technical team that there is supposedly “good coverage” with the network and speeds.

This is simply not true.

As of last night (12/02/2025) until now, I once again have no internet connection. This happens at least twice a week. I work from home for most of the week, and this ongoing issue is severely affecting my ability to do my job.

I conducted a speed test using my Vodacom WiFi:

Download speed: 2.05 Mbps

Upload speed: 0.32 Mbps

According to Vodacom’s technical team, these speeds are “fine” and the network is working properly.

However, when I run a speed test using MTN data from MTN, I get:

Download speed: 137.1 Mbps

Upload speed: 25.5 Mbps

The difference is significant and clearly demonstrates that the issue is not on my side.

To make matters worse, I cannot even call the Vodacom call centre because my Vodacom SIM card frequently shows “No Signal.” I am forced to purchase MTN data just to message Vodacom on Facebook and continue working. I have to constantly log service requests with Vodacom but nothing is being done.

The only response I receive is a call saying the matter has been assigned to the technical team and that I must await feedback. There is never any actual resolution. I have sent screenshots showing 'no internet' connection, 'no signal' on my Vodacom sim card, the speed tests conducted and the wifi router showing the signal and network buttons are both red. How much more proof must I send to Vodacom to show that I am experiencing an issue?????

How am I expected to continue paying for a service I cannot use? It is completely unacceptable to charge customers for unreliable or non-existent service.

I require:

A full investigation and permanent resolution.

Feedback with a clear timeline.

Consideration for a billing adjustment/credit for the ongoing service failure.

This situation has become absolutely ridiculous. I expect urgent intervention and a proper resolution.

I am not sure what addressing they are actually doing because so far nothing has been resolved and it takes forever to hear from Vodacom. All I get told is someone will be in contact.
