Ongoing ***** allowed on my account

Yesterday Vodacom allowed someone to open a new contract on my name, despite me telling them that I did not initiate that. Today, despite "escalating the issue" at the Cancellations department twice, you also allowed the person to get a handset on my account for a further R1000 pm. No-one appears willing to resolve the issue. What is the point of sending me SMSs asking me to contact you if I did not initiate the contract, and then going ahead with issuing it in any case? And approving a handset the next day!

Vodacom called me, took the time to listen to my complaint, and the issue was resolved by 12 Jan 2025. I am pleasantly surprised!

Sadly (and I suppose I should have expected this), the issue has not been resolved. I'm still stuck with the bill racked up by the *****ster. When I contacted the ***** Division with this issue, I was told to take it up with "Subscribers collection".

So, I have to now start all over, explaining and having to prove to a different division that I was the victim of ***** because Vodacom allowed someone to open a contract, etc., despite my vehement protestations? Just because someone at ***** doesn't feel like following up on their initial instruction to "Subscribers collection"? It's just easier to palm it off to me?

I sent a reply on the same day (Monday, 20 January 2025), asking that they do the following up. I suppose I must have caused a passive-aggressive response because by Wednesday, 22 January 2025, I received: "Your service request no. EC-2131-188KJ5 has been closed". By Friday, 24 January 2025 I rep****, "I have just received a notification that my bill will be R937.41 for this month. Kindly respond urgently."
Any guesses as to whether I've received any response?

And nothing ever happened. No-one was in touch.
