One simple Wi-Fi Contract takes more than 4-5 Months to get finalized.
Enquired about Vodacom fiber, accepted the deal and was assured that the installation would happen within 6-8 weeks. Needless to say that was BS. Not even one person contacted me to follow up on the fiber installation in that time. Getting to the right department to follow up from my side is a nightmare as you continuously get transferred from one person to the next as it seems as though their employees don't even know who is responsible for what there. Eventually got hold of someone and told them to cancel the enquiry completely. Forward a week or so and decided to rather give the fiber route a skip so I enquired on a LTE router deal through Vodacom because loyalty is a one way streak in the relationship with Vodacom. Got the quote (R599pm), accepted it, got the approval, got the router all good. So I thought... Debi check mandate comes and there is an initial payment of R1100.00 which was not mentioned anywhere, the Debi check shows the monthly installments are R733.00pm. Again I tried to get ahold of someone with no luck. Eventually to my surprise a gentlemen phones me (4months after my fiber enquiry) to follow up on the fiber installation. I told him the entire story and he offered to point me in the right direction and put in contact (via email) to someone on the LTE side of the company, which he did. Not surprisingly his co-worker decided to drop him completely and not react to his email request to assist me.
So one of the biggest companies can't just get one simple Wi-Fi contract finalized over a 4-5 month period. Still not sorted out!
