On CORRECT Informatiin
I was supposedly due for my upgrade on 08/01/2018. Called the Vodacom Call Centre to confirm this and they stated yes I am due. Received an sms stating my upgrade is due on 8 January 2018. Went through to the Main Vodacom Shop at The Glen Shopping Centre, South of Johannesburg. I fill in all the necessary documents. On the contract it showed that there is still an outstanding amount of R390(Which I understand because I'm taking my upgrade before the month is over) I ask the lady that was assisting me if that amount plus the new contract amount would go off my account at the same time because it's quite a bit of money, she assured me that the amount of R390 would onky go off at the end of Jan and the at the end of Feb my new contract amount will kick in( I asked about 3-4 days) At the end of Jan an amount went off my account but it was this R390 outstanding amount. So I just assumed that maybe they made a mistake with the months and that the outstanding amount will go off end of Feb. 2 weeks into Feb I receive my emailed statement and invoice with an amount of R 1140 that will go off at the end of the month?? I call your call centre as clearly there must be a mistake only for them to tell me that must go to the store that assisted me. I went through and the lady that assisted me when i took my upgrade was busy so someone else hepled me, she said that there is nothing she can do as it's what I signed for. I agree I did sign for the outstanding amount and new contract amount but what I was told was incorrect. So I left it. 2 weeks ago I receive my March statement and invoice with the exact same amount as the last time. Now I'm furious so I go to the other smaller Vodacom shop at The Glen Shopping centre because I knew I would loose my temper. I asked for an explanation of this amount and I told my story to a very friendly Vodacom employee and she was absolutely shocked with the false information I was given at the beginning. Because firstly it doesn't indicate anywhere how many months I would still need to pay the R390 and secondly in actual fact my upgrade was only supposed to be April. So now I could of waited for the Samsung S9 instead of getting the S8 if I was given the CORRECT INFORMATION and I would of saved all these extra costs. Vodacom is pathetic with their customer service!!! Will 100% move to a different network once my contract is up!!!!
