OBF Takes more than 2 weeks to resolve

This is a follow up from my previous complaint (https://hellopeter.com/vodacom/reviews/poor-service-3 ********** 423).

Vodacom managed to come back to me, 3 days after logging my complaint (above), regarding one half of my complaint, the OBF. The OBF was approved on the 31 October but I was not informed about this till I logged the above complaint. Lindiwe assisted me in providing all support documents, that Vodacom World TechZone guys "forgot" to provide me with. I’m just saying forgot, but to be honest it was because they are lazy and unwilling to do any work to actually help anyone.

So, yesterday morning (10 November) I finally received everything to get the replacement phone. At 12:36 I was at Vodacom World to get my replacement phone, 5 days after logging the above complaint. The whole process was smooth and the representative at Customer Care assisted me with no issues, but all of this was too good to be true. It turns out that Vodacom World do not have stock available (because if you ask me they don’t know how to do proper stock taking) and I cannot get the phone from any other Vodacom shop, because that will result in them having to credit another Vodacom Shop making work for someone or they are just too lazy to actually request stock from another Vodacom Shop to provide a service to a customer who have been waiting 3 weeks now for an OBF to be resolved, thanks to their staff not doing their jobs. This means that after waiting more than 2 weeks for feedback regarding the OBF I still have to wait another 2 weeks (this maybe more, because look at the poor service till now) before I can get the replacement phone.

Total of 4+ weeks for an OBF to be resolved??????????

A word of advice to Vodacom…

Helping a client who has been waiting more than 2 weeks for any service query to be resolved, and this being because of your staff negligence, requires some level of importance to rebuild confidence with a client. AKA keeping a client happy. If it means to actually go and buy the phone somewhere, anywhere, to provide an excellent service to a client, so be it. It is called going above and beyond service level for a client. Happy clients will result in more clients and we all know what happens when you have more clients. In the end your clients is your business, in case you have not notice.

This what I am getting currently is not service with a smile more a service with a revolted feeling, because not only do I have to wait 4+ weeks for an OBF to be resolved...My contract is still not sorted out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I will end up paying the new contract while still on the old contract!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How is any of this good service?
