Number porting

<p>I would like to complain about the porting process of Vodacom!</p> <p> </p> <p>I am currently on MTN and was taking an additional cell phone on contract at Vodashop in Fourways mall. I filled in the form and the consultant requested that my number be ported on the 28Th of July (Thursday) I was told on this day that it would take 2-3 working days. A week later I still had not had the number ported and when I called the shop to follow up on this I was told that it was still pending, I Spoke to the manager who then enquired with the consultant on what the delay was. Thursday the 4th of August the consultant told me it was still pending and unfortunately there is nothing she could do about it but wait. I called in on Friday the 5th of August to follow up with this and was told the same thing, I then asked that they not proceed with the contract application as I still wasn’t able to port to Vodacom and instead would take one up with MTN.</p> <p> </p> <p>It is rather unfortunate that as much as I wanted to take the contract with Vodacom, the service received left me with no option but to go with MTN. Having being inconvenienced by waiting a whole week for a phone that I eventually never received was rather upsetting. The manner in which the consultant and manager handled this leads me to think that Vodacom as a brand is not willing to go the extra mile for new business and losing new business to competitors is acceptable!</p> <p> </p>
