Number Change on Contract
Took out a new Vodacom contract - December 15, I still had 2months left on my Cell C contract. When my Cell C contract ended last month and I wanted to transfer the number to the Vodacom contract I contacted the Vodacom After Sales Contact centre. Assisted by Nomhi who told me that I just need to go to a Vodacom shop and asked for a number change. Nomhi confirmed yesterday that I can do it on any Vodacom product. So this I did, arrived there yesterday - system is offline - come back later. Went there this morning - can not do it because I am on a U Choose Flexi 150 which is seen as top-up and not a contract !! (did sign for 24 m). Now please tell me, who is correct and if it is completely impossible as a contract customer to change your number WHY? All my company profiles and business cards for the next 2 y has got my current number on. A contract with a new number is completely useless to me. You can change your number at other service providers why not Vodacom. One get the idea that they already signed you contractually and see no need to bother with further assistance. Vodacom - if you cant change - cancel. would rather take new contract with SP that assist their clients.
