Not willing to help

Really disappointed with Vodacom's service. My dad asked if he was eligible for an upgrade and was informed that he was. He ordered his phone and it was delivered to him. After getting the phone he got an invoice that said he had to pay more than what was stated on the upgrade and he was informed via the phone call from Vodacom's supervisor that he had to suddenly pay for 2 phones as the old contract hasn't expired yet. But nothing was communicated whether he qualified for an upgrade. He went through all the proper channels to make sure he did not upgrade to early. After numerous phone calls all Vodacom can say was sorry you need to pay. They didn't even try to rectify the problem. I truly feel that it was their fault and all necessary information should have been communicated which was not from their side. This is absolutely unacceptable as they should have let him know that is what is going to happen. I truly feel after all these phone calls Vodacom would have at least tried to sort out the issue, but did not even bother. What makes me more upset is that they continuously want to put the blame on the customer. It is their responsibility to make sure all necessary info is given to the customer. Vodacom will be loosing many customers due to their incompetence.
