Not user friendly - PUK code

I am currently abroad and using my vodacom number to receive sms. I have recently blocked my number and cannot seem to request a PUK number. I have tried to log into myvodacom but an sms notification is needed. I have tried to call from abroad but this is proving costly as I have to wait for up to 15min and my call gets placed on hold.
