Not selling products that they advertise and trying to get more money out of them.

So i am due for my upgrade in the already before August but vodacom let me know already in June that I can upgrade. I checked online and wanted to upgrade to the 200gig package with the Huawei B535-932 4G router with 10mps package. It was well and done but I wanted to wait till my contract is due without the extra fees if you upgrade early. On the 10th of July I went into the store and saw the package as online advertised in their adverti*****t booklets as well. I went to the sales consultant to upgrade to hear that I do not qualify for this upgrade. She will find out what it is (as she also did not know why not). She phoned me the next day to say that I am whitelisted (but also she does not know what that means). I was then told that she would take it up with them as it also does not make sense to her as Vodacom is willing to give me the same package over 24 months at R749 per month. Going on to today 31 July 2021 when I went in again to follow up on this request as no one phoned me back. Suddenly all adverti*****t books in the store was gone although the end date for the specials is the 5th of August. I went to a new sales assistant and queried again about the upgrade. She then told me that she couldn't find the 200gb package on the system anymore yet it is advertised in the booklet that is under her desk at the store. She tried many ways of fixing the issue but could not find a solution. I then told her to phone Vodacom to explain. After calling the first time the vodacom representative dropped the call and then the second time calling the lady actually took my call after she spoke to the sales rep in front of me. I then went to explain to her that I want that contract as advertised. She then told me the following. According to my credit score (which I gave nooone permission to access and is actually quite great according to FNB and Sanlam) I do not qualify for this package as I fall under the P400 credit score rating and I need to be at the P700 credit score rating. I told her that it was impossible and that she needs to either let me speak to a manager which her reply was that she is working from home and cant access the manager and will have to escalate it to them. She then asked to speak to the sales assistant and then gave her what she can do. She can give me a 50gig package and add on another 50gig package and -90 percent of the price over 36 months at R507 a month. I then asked to speak to the representative again and told her the following: 1) How and what does the credit rating of P400 work and could she explain. (Which she could not) 2) If then I fall under the P400 rating how can I be approved for the R507 package but not the R399 package as logic dictates that credit ratings would affect the amount of money they are willing to let me buy for and if I don't qualify for the R399 package then surely I should not be able to buy the R507 package. 3) I was then told that she would have to escalate it to her manager and to please stay on the line. About 40 minutes went by and I was told that she can do nothing for me and that the manager would contact me in the next few minutes as she cannot help me any further.

I thus here I sit still waiting for a call and no one has phoned me or sent me a reference or anything. So Vodacom before I contact the Consumer protection board as well as the ombudsman could you please contact me as I will take this further. I rate the Worcester Mountain Mill Mall 5 stars for their understanding and helpfulness in this regard as it also does not make sense to them. I will even give the call representative a good rating sitting with my and her frustration as her hands are cut off if it is not approved higher up. I am however saddened that a company like Vodacom that I have been a client for more than 10 years tries and swindles their clients **********ly.

So three days later and still no reply? Or phone call or email? Are you trying to avoid your due diligence by waiting for the current specials to expire tomorrow? I am keeping track of everything in my file to the ombudsman.

Yes. I phoned you online desk yesterday to sort it out. My airtime, my cost, my effort. The lady sorted out this problem for you.
