Not registered on network - 2 whole towns - no help from call center!

I had to call customer care from a landline as ALL Vodacom phones in our area suddenly said "not registered on network" at more or less the same time. This is all the Vodacom users in 2 towns on Rural Limpopo. It has been almost 2 hours since they went offline. Customer service agent first took 4 of our numbers and said she would escalate it to the technicians which would take 7 to 14 days - unbelievable!!!! 7 - 14 DAYS TO FIND OUT WHY 2 ENTIRE TOWNS HAVE SUDDENLY BEEN DISCONNECTED!?!? UTTERLY RIDICULOUS!!!!! She had absolutely no idea of what could be wrong - she tried re-syncing my network which didn't work - didn't think it would, this is 2 towns we're talking about, not just my cellphone!

We don't have Telkom lines here on the farms, they refuse to replace them because of continued cable thefts - we rely on our phones to do business as well as in cases of emergencies - this is completely unacceptable. I have been a mostly happy Vodacom customer for 15+ years, the last year though with all the problems with signal and now this - I think I'm done and will be moving to another network! I have a reference number available for the call with the call center.
