Not refunding credit

I settled an account on the 8th July 2016, and Vodacom also debited me for the amount on the 10th July. I requested a refund by calling customer care and accounts. They asked me to submit the proof of payment, which I did. I have proof of delivery of the email.

I then followed up on the 14th July, only to hear that the email I sent with the proof of payment had not been received (very unlikely). I spoke to Vuyo, and resent the email, which she received (confirmed with her over the phone, after i sent it to her direct email address - i have confirmation of delivery and read receipt)

I then emailed a follow up on the 27th July (14 days, which is their service level agreement time).

As yet, i have not received an email or call regarding this matter. I emailed and called again today, 01 August 2016 - no one can/will help - all i get is "it is being processed" and that that ept. doesnt take calls.

Vodacom are very quick to follow up if you miss a debit for any reason, yet nearly 4 weeks later i cannot get a refund.

I am not interested in a credit, as i have migrated to prepaid when my contract ended.

This is still unresolved - I received an email from Vodacom on 02 and 04 August 2016, which was very promising. They said a senior consultant would be in contact within 48 hours - it has now been 11 days since i last received any correpondence from them. I have called, only to be told the query is in progress, but no other detail is available. I also had to call multiple times, as the collections department direct line kept diverting to cusomer care (who are unable to assist with this type of query), and when they put me though to collections, it would be on hold for ages, only to end up back at customer care.
Overall, it has been 5 weeks since i logged my query, and still no refund. I have submitted all the required documentation they required.
It is 100%, unequivocally their fault that it has taken so long - what makes matters worse is that no one can or will help, and the collections department are completely ***********. They are clearly only focused and trained on taking money, rather than refunding monies.
