Not POPIA Compliant
So sick of Vodacom and their non-compliant POPI red tape.
Number 1. My surname changed in 2012 and I have been struggling ever since to have them change it. Now with POPI, they require my marriage certificate to change my surname on their system... I have been divorced 5 years already...
Also, one CAN change your name at Home Affairs for a fee and it doesn't need to have anything to do with getting married... What is your system for a man changing their name to a woman's name (since you are flaunting the pride flag, yet you have no systems to help them in this regard), or if someone changes their name because they don't like it or don't want to be associated with their toxic family?
Number 2. Calling your clients and then forcing them to prove their identity by asking MULTIPLE security questions, yet having no responsibility to prove your identity as someone working for Vodacom, is opening doors to a whole bunch of ****s... Anyone can call your clients stating they are calling from Vodacom and then ask them all of the security questions. Then they call Vodacom asking to do a SIM swap and they have all of your client's answers ready for the consultant.
DO BETTER VODACOM! Your systems are outdated and a danger to your clients and are in no way POPIA compliant!
