Not keeping sales promises
I have been contacted by a Vodacom sales lady. She said that being a good customer with Vodacom for more than 19 years, I do qualify for the latest and best Laptop package with Vodacom. She promised me the latest and best laptop (HP 14 LTE) on a monthly deal. She said that I currently buy more data per month on my phone package than new a laptop contract with 5Gig would cost me. She said that the laptop comes with Microsoft Office 365 as well as Windows 11. I asked her specifically that IF I take out the laptop contract, would I be able to transfer from the data on my laptop to my cell, as I buy extra data on a regular basis for my cell. She said YES, no problem. All I had to do is to log into my Vodacom App on my phone and transfer the data from my Laptop to my Cell. She was so convincing that I took out two (2x) laptop contracts. She promised me that I would save in total about R800 per month on data top-up costs. I received the laptops, just to realise that the Microsoft Office 365 is only a trail version for 7 days. This meant I had to buy the Microsoft Office 365 license out of my own pocket. I phoned Vodacom After Sales and Support Services and took this up with them. They revered me to RewardsCo in Durban ( +27(0)31 ***) and I spoke to a Kaid Rouse, a Retentions Consultant. I told him my story and all my complaints. He offered me his help and sent me an email, promising the following: • I will be crediting your Vodacom account with the amount of R1300 • Reduce the subscription on your laptop deal • Allocating additional promotional data to ****** • You will be able to buy extra data (top up) at a cheaper rate from my Vodacom app. None of the above realised. I sent him emails, but he does not reply. I tried to phone him, but without success. I phone Customer Service again and a lady with the name of Faniswa tried not assist me. I explained my situation sent her an email with my complaints. She phoned me the following morning and promised that someone from Vodacom management will phone me back the same day. It is three days later, and I am still waiting for a call or a solution from Vodacom. I phoned After Sales and Support Services, just to find out that it is impossible for me to transfer DATA from one Sim to another. I do not want to return my Laptop, as I already bought Microsoft Office 365 out of my pocket. I personalised my laptop, downloaded software, ect. I want the promises to be realised and the problem to be solved. Regards
