Not fixing phone

At the beginning of January 2017 my Huawei P7 just shut down and wouldn't come on again. As my phone was still under the 2 year warranty I took it to Vodacom Mall@Reds in Centurion.

The agent who assisted me removed the phone from its cover and remarked on how well looked after the phone is and that it still looked like new. He then booked it in to be sent to the service centre.

After repeated queries as to what is happening with the phone (I upgraded in the mean time), I was told that it was sent to a service centre in Potchefstroom and that they say it is water damage. As this can definitely not be the case I asked them to send it back to me as I called Huawei themselves and they suggested a service centre where I can obtain a second opinion.

After some more waiting and multiple calls I was told that my phone has arrived at the Mall@Reds branch.

When I went to collect it, it was badly damaged! The glass screen protector I had on was removed and the prestine metal corners have been scratched and damaged. This phone was in a protective case for nearly two years and didn't have a single mark on it!!!!

I refused to accept it like that and it is now June and I STILL don't have my phone back! It seems that Vodacom has used the water damage excuse just to get out of fixing the phone as it was near the end of its warranty. Now it is 5 months later and it is definitely out of its warranty and damaged on the outside as well! If they can ruin a phone on the outside like this, how can I trust that they themselves didn't ruin the inside as well as they clearly do not know how to handle these devices!! There is NO WAY that it had water damage to start with as it was working fine one day and just stopped working the next. It doesn't go with me into the bathroom or gym nevermind even getting anywhere near water!!

I want a replacement device and I want it NOW!
