I have a small plea to these major companies. A friend of mine who is not a South African citizen but has been living here for the past 17 years. He does not have an id but has a permit for years which he has used to travel between his home country and South Africa many times. One day he told me that he is having trouble with his currently network provider which is (#Cellc prepaid sim )slow internet, Low reception in some areas, and not working well and he spends R800 to R1400 per month just on data and he is not happy with the service because he travels between town to towns for Stock supply he need good internet for road. So i took him to go to the Vodacom Shop in the mall. Stuff was friendly and give us some forms to fill and asks us for bank statements, Payslip Passport proof of residence etc there we submitted the required documents and the salesman dismissed us saying that we will inform you about the sim within three days. It has been two weeks now and there is no response at all ( I Assume there was no vetting against his account ) I don't understand that despite having all the necessary documents, the data SIM was not given. I understand that people will take the phone and other things like the ,Laptops Etc and Run away with it but the Data SIM was only up to R400 and can't be used other then South Africa Unless International Roaming activate Unfortunately he couldn't get the Sim Card and the bank statement was given get at least deposited R40000 per each month . Not having credit score doesn't mean you're totally broke. People like to buy cash stuff too, but a data sim for which we also guarantee that we're willing to pay for up front payment. Please Prepaid data is very expensive and not all the networks have good reception in the remote areas .if people have all required documents available please help them too .A customer is also a blessing no matter what form she/he is ...Consider this matter also
