Not Being Allowed to Upgrade due to Vodacom's Incompetency

Early in November 2016, I app**** online for my contract with Vodacom to be upgraded; after receiving SMS notification that I had become eligible to do so.

I opted for the Sony Experia XZ in Forest Blue + Bluetooth Walkman Headset + Online Education Voucher at R529 on the Smart L Plan.
I was assisted via the online call center by Andrisa.

Only 14 November 2016 I received a call from another gentleman at the call center confirming the details as well as informing me that the 7-10 days for delivery would be effective from the date of his call.

When the duration had passed and I had yet to receive my delivery, I phoned the call center and was informed that RAM had failed to contact me on either of my contact numbers.
I was further informed that the call center would follow up and call me back- which was not done.

I contacted the call centre again a few days later and was given the same information and an assurance that they would find my delivery.

After several days without a response, I phoned again and was informed that we would have to reverse the upgrade and start again from scratch.

Another few days passed and I called to confirm the reversal. I was informed that the online call center is awaiting feedback from cancellations.

Several more days passed. I called to confirm the reversal and received the same feedback. It was also clarified that we could not do anything until the reversal was complete, nor could I attempt to upgrade at a branch.

I contacted the cancellations department and spoke to Lebo who had received the request for cancellation but was waiting for IT admin apparently. After waiting approximately 1,5 hours I also spoke to her team leader (male) to request fast-tracking the process by contacting the relevant department which he failed to do.

I contacted the online call center yet again in January and was told there was no stock. When I explained the situation the feedback changed to "still awaiting reversal".

Two weeks ago I contacted the call center again. First I was told that the bundle had been delivered, this then changed to "awaiting the reversal".
It was also indicated that my status indicated I was no longer eligible for an upgrade. We also discussed the matter of there no longer being stock available of the package through no fault of my own.
I do not see why I need to compromise as a result of a Vodacom's complacency. Also, where is the bundle package that RAM had attempted to deliver?

Further to the above there were numerous follow-ups phone calls from myself to th eVodacom online call center in approximately 4 day intervals which resulted in either no feedback; or promises to investigate and revert without actually doing so. I have only mentioned those above that included feedback.
