NORTHGATE - MANAGER BRENDAN

The manager of Northgate just put the phone down in my ear. I have been trying to do a sim swap on a new contract on my husbands name. Manager and staff tried for almost 2 hours to use my old number on this new contract but the system didnt want to. They kept on telling me that I cannot use my old number because the original contract was in my daughters name. The contract in her name has been cancelled at the end of October and therefore my "old" number was pay as you go. I phoned the vodacom call centre, as I told Brendan on Friday I was gointg to do and query, because I was told by 3 other vodacom shops that it can be done. After spending 47 min with vodacom call centre, no 082 111 and contact person Sarah, I was told that Northgate must log a backoffice support call to have my old number on my new contract. I asked Sarah to please phone this shop and explain what they should do as I knew they were going to argue with me as on Friday the 11th of November. She called while I was holding but said that they arent answering their phone (011) ********** ! According to Sarah this change must happen in 7 days from entry date.

I then phoned another number they had on google and left a message for the manager to please phone me back. When he phoned he argued and again said it cannot be done and then I asked him to please phone the call centre and find out. I gave him the name of the person ect. Then he became adamant that it cannot be done and I have accepted the new contract and the new number... And much more.

Please can vodacom sort this out as I am sure that this has happened to many and left clients as confused as I am.
