16/06/2018 we did an online order for a Samsung J7 Prime which included R120.00 airtime per month. Monthly installment was R149.00.
21/06/2018 phoned to find out what is going on with the order as no one had phoned to finalise the order. Spoke to a lady name Pumeza. She told me that we ordered a black phone and they currently don’t have black in stock but she can help me with a gold phone straight away. She said she would cancel the first order and redo the order for the gold phone in order to proceed. No discussion took place of a price increase due to changing the order. Pumeza later phoned back and happened to be talking about the deal when she said the monthly installment will be R249.00. Told her no, our deal was R149.00. She tried to cover up what had been done and offered me a gig of data for “free”. How is this free if you are charging me R100 extra for a deal!? Told her no, we want the deal for R149.00 as we had initially agreed to as we had just upgraded our wifi data contract. She then said she will need to cancel her order and I would need to go back online to reorder the special. Went back online and the special was no longer available.
22/06/2018 received “help” from customer care, ref: 1- ********** ********** noting that if we agreed to R149.00 contract they would need to assist. 25/06/2018 Received 2 phone calls from 2 different people none of which was help to us. Second call was to say WE must phone the upgrade line ********** and tell them the retention department has loaded the R149.00 deal on our profile. Not sure why Vodacom phones us to tell us to phone another Vodacom department… surely you can sort out all the internal processes and then phone to say it’s sorted??? Noli phoned the online department to query the special, she came back to say the online department told her it was a one-day deal and the deal today is R199.00, not R149.00. We told her that was ******* as it was online for 3 days when we started looking. PROBLEM STILL NOT SORTED!
It seems as though we are being pushed from pillar to post by Vodacom employees who do not seem to give a damn about their clients.
