Non-Existent Support Services and Communication Skills during constant outages.

The service and support from Vodacom fiber has hit an all-time low. When I first joined, the had maybe one area outage a year. Four years later, we are only halfway through the year, and we have already had 5 outages in my area this year alone. The only consistency between the outages is how *********** they are in resolving the root cause while not caring at all about communicating with their paying clients. You log a ticket and get told its linked to an area outage. That is all they can tell you the point the ticket is opened until the problem just disappears after anything from 24-72 hours later. Not a single customer facing Vodacom employee is ever in a position to tell you what is going on at any point in the outage. You are literally expected to just sit and wait until the fix the problem, no feedback, no actual support. They also take pride in reminding you constantly that they have24-48 hours to ASIGN your ticket, not resolve it, get eye on it. This is their actual SLA that they are comfortable enforcing on all their paying customers. I think their service delivery is disgusting. On top of this, there is no avenue you can pursue to escalate that actually works and don't even dream of speaking to a service delivery manager. How this company is still in business is beyond me. Steer clear.
