Non existent contactability

Hardly the first time that I have complained about this company. So my son had (HAD) a Vodacom contract before he left the country. He has now lived overseas since 2021. He started getting suspect emails from suspect lawyers regarding an outstanding balance. The statement details transactions that he knows nothing about. However, good corporate citizen that I am, I visited a Vodacom store on his behalf and paid directly to Vodacom the HUGE sum of R407.85. We are not talking big money here but the lady who accepted and receipted the payment advised me that on receipt of the outstanding, Vodacom would automatically reinstate his contract and then start billing again! WHAT! But of course I don't have a Vodacom contract so cannot phone their cancellations *** and in any event their stock response would be "you are not the account holder." My son lives overseas and needs to send an email so that they are dealing directly with the account holder. But do Vodacom make that easy? Don't be ridiculous. They would rather nail you for more charges.

They need to make contact with my son, Simon, the account holder, by EMAIL as he cannot make use of free call Vodacom numbers. Email him at ***
He has been on a UK cell number since he moved there in 2021. Cannot imagine what you could possibly need to CANCEL something that is quite obviously not in use.
