Non-Disclosure from the Upgrades Dept

My upgrade is officially due on 14/08/2016 but I called the Upgrades dept at the end of July and asked whether I could upgrade early. The consultant confirmed with her manager and I was advised that he approved and authorised the upgrade. I waited a few days for the phone due to stock availability. I have not used the phone as yet as I was still making use of my current handset, however, i have now lost the phone but I cannot do a sim swap because apparently my account is in arrears. I have found out that the Upgrades dept have drawn up an invoice on 29/07/2016 for R1900 for the new phone??? How is this possible when I specifically asked the agent what additional costs are applicable - she only mentioned that i will still be liable for my current handset subsidy up until expiry of my contract. I feel that I have been **** to and now i am without my number as i cant do a simswap because of this issue. I REFUSE to pay for this R1900 invoice as this was not disclosed to me on the call nor was there any communication sent to me which i have accepted. I would like the call to be retrieved as I will be taking the matter further. I am shocked with the service received as i now cannot get any help from Vodacom because of an apparent arrear account.

In addition to this invoice, my upgrade came with 10gigs free data for one month. Another blatant lie as this service reflects twice on my current invoice, one line item is charged at R599 but the other line item has been debited and credited? So now i'm also being charged for a service which Vodacom 'claims' is free? Clearly I was ****med - not sure why I upgrade in the first place.

I have still not received any feedback. I hope Vodacom is smart enough to not call my mobile number as this isn't active due to their imcompetence. ********** 000
