Non Compliant with POPI Act
Vodacom have private documents such as detailed bank statements for the last 3 months and refuse to confirm these have been removed from their email server, documents folder and individuals end point machines. They said they needed these to assess my application for a tiny contract simply to get cellular working on my Apple Watch Ultra 2. I have heard nothing for weeks now. So long for a decision about a SIM card with a small contract despite the fact I’ve had a Vodacom pay as you go SIM for 15 years. They are not compliant with POPI Act and this will be reported. I would not accept the contract now even if they decided to grant the application. Telling me I have a bad credit rating is an outright lie. My rating is I. The excellent range between 92% and 94% or a score of 704. These are well above average and in the “excellent “ band - I have had this rating for decades. I have not missed a single payment of anything whatsoever in 20 years and more. I have extremely low credit - I don’t ise my credit cards anywhere near their limit. The one and only thing they could claim is “negative” is that I have a lot of credit available even though I’m not using it. Their agent was insulting with his “poor credit rating “ accusation. ***?! Where do they get their credit ratings from??
