Non communication and bad service from Vodashop Southern Centre (BFN)
I visited the Vodashop in the Southern Centre, Fichardt Park, Bloemfontein on 28 October 2017. At that tiem there was a deal for a iPhone SE in their pamflet and I requested the shop to order an iPhone SE 16GB for me. I was informed that it usually takes 3-5 working days for them to order a phone from the warehouse. On Thursday, 2 November 2017, I phoned the Vodashop and the sales lady informed me that the delivery truck was late and that they hoped to receive their stock by that afternoon or the Friday. I was told to be patient, as my phone has been ordered. I heard nothing back from the shop and on Monday, 06/11/2017, I tried to phone the shop, but they were experiencing problems with their telephone lines and therefore I drove to the shop again after work that afternoon. A colleague of mine had upgraded over the weekend and he was told by Vodacom in the Loch Logan Waterfront that the iPhone SE had been discontinued. I also went to the Vodashop at Preller Square in Bloemfontein on that Monday, which is close to my work and I was told the same thing. When I went to the Vodashop Southern Centre that Monday (2 Nov) afternoon, I told them that I heard the iPhone SE had been discontinued and they assured me that they had not yet received any such communication from Vodacom. They even went as far as showing us their mails with the discontinued lists which was received on that specific Monday (2 Nov) and the iPhone SE was not on that list. I was once again told that my phone was ordered and that they were still waiting for the back orders to be delivered. They again promised to contact me as soon as they had news about my phone. Yesterday, 26/11/2017, we were at the shopping centre in Fichardt Park and decided to walk in and ask if there was any news about my phone that was ordered, since we had not heard anything from them. We were then just told that the iPhone SE has been discontinued. We asked the sales person to fetch their book and check that I had already requested a phone on 28 October 2017 and my name was still in the book. However, no one contacted me, even though I had spoken to them once per telephone and went to the shop twice. There was just no communication or service from Vodacom throughout this process. I have been a customer of Vodacom for 15 years and I am very disappointed and upset with the way I was treated throughout this process. The sales person admitted to me yesterday that it was bad service from them and asked if they could phone the warehouse today and see if they can arrange something. I received a call from this salesperson this morning, just confirming again that the iPhone SE has been discontinued and that was that. No apology, no offer, nothing! Really Vodacom, if this is how you treat your loyal customers, then I don't think I want to stay with a company who treats their customers so poorly.
