In March of this year my cell phone contract came up for renewal and I went to Chatz in Jacaranda Centre to renew the contract. I told the sales person that I would prefer a replacement for my existing phone, a Nokia C2-01. I was issued with a Nokia 220 (unopened in its original packaging). I did not immediately begin using the phone. Once activated, the phone worked well, except for the Bluetooth connection to my car's hands free system. Upon doing some investigation, I discovered that the Nokia 220's Bluetooth connectivity is limited to file transfer only. Clearly then, the Nokia 220 was not a direct replacement for the Nokia C2-01.
After 5 Months, 35 emails between Vodacom Customer Service and Myself, 11 phone calls and 3 store visits, I am still waiting for finalisation of this issue. I have been given false promises and commitments time and again.
I have long since given up any hope of getting a satisfactory response to my problem, however, I believe that publishing this correspondence will highlight the ineffectual customer service policy practised by Vodacom as well as the abominable lack of knowledge regarding the products that they market.
Best regards,
Best regards,
It is now 132 days since I was contacted by Vodacom and promised a replacement phone. I am still waiting for this to happen. My last 2 emails dated 29/07/2016 and 28/08/2016 requesting an update on the situation remain unanswered
