No voice, no data, no data ........... no help - still no data

I changed from a contract to prepaid to try to get control of the expense. The uChoose Smart L was only active for one month up to 29.11.2016 at which time I had no voice, no data, no sms. Could not recharge any of these items.

Called customer care multiple times, logged tickets without solution provided. I then decided to go to the Vodacom shop in Brooklyn mall. Spent the Saturday morning of 03.12.2016 in the shop in an attempt to fix the problem. You will not believe, the personnel call the customer care line and hand me the phone, exactly what did not work and why I went to the shop in the first place.

Eventually got voice going but still no data. The store manager tells me that it is due to the new system and there is no solution other than to record my number and call me when fixed. One week later, 10.12.2016 visit store to be told by manager that there is still no solution.

No balances reflect on any Vodacom systems.

Continue to call customer care who keeps telling me that the data was issued and that I used the data. Obtain itemised billing to disprove this but no way to escallate the problem. Customer care cannot help, problem cannot be escallated no data available for 2 months and counting.

Thank you very much to the Vodacom representative who solved my problem.

Apparently the solution was simple but no-one at Vodacom customer care was able to identify the root cause and take the required corrective action in more than 10 attempts?

Proposal: Can Vodacom not provide a clear escallation process to be used in these cases where the call centre personnel cannot solve a problem? I would much rather make use of such a process than resort to a third party like hellopeter where the response is not guaranteed.
