No Vodacom Service

I wonder if Vodacom Customercare actually exist. Let me elaborate: Sunday 22/09/2019, Vodacom activated a prepaid number for me. I could make calls, receive calls, received couple of sms's. Transferred R30 from my contract account to the number in question. Received sms to confirm this. GREAT until..... Monday 23/09/209, sim not registered. Called Vodacom Customercare, (sounds like it is Christmas over there with the background noise), and with that noise the agent gets rude and agitated as he cannot hear me, I am promised that a service call will be logged. Please note I called from another prepaid number. I am promised attention will be given to the service call within 48hrs. My refence number is the number I am calling from. Wednesday 25/09/2019, called from a contract number. WOW! Service with a smile. Were promised that she will get her supervisor to call me. Thursday 26/09/2019, called in again, nobody can trace service call, nobody seems to know what to do. Next step sent Vodacom Customercare an email. The email refers to the number in question, as well as mentions a number I have been using for more than 20 years on the vodacom network. The email is sent from my email address which is mycellno@vodamail. 27/09/2019, Vodacom reply with a request to provide them with the number in question. My reply indicated to them where all my numbers is indicated in my previous emails. Their reply, "Protection against ***** is critical, etc.. My reply "LET IT BE". Saturday 28/09/2019, a gentleman called me from a very "quiet" office (probably because I complained in my emails about the noisy call centre. End result, will follow up on Monday (weekend now). up to now (13h00) no response.

My opinion: Vodacom do not care about prepaid customers.

Although I informed them to keep their R30 that was transferred to that number, the principle is that they took payment for a service not delivered. Onto the next issue, today 30/09/2019. Got a reasonably large data contract upgraded very recently. Check my data on the VODACOM APP very often. Did so early this morning. Here is the weird scenario: App as well as when logged in via internet, states I have ***GD left expiring 30/09/2019 23:59. Previous data was depleting from another bundle that states 0.00GB left from ***GB expiring 21/10/2019. Right now no data. Suddenly cut off although app and internet indicates their is data available. Called Vodacom Customercare, informed I have no data left. Explained what I see on app. Promised she will talk to supervisor and get back to me. That was 1 hour ago.

My opinion: Vodacom app and internet totally unreliable.

My experience has taught me that: For better service, call with a contract phone. (Seems you get to speak to more caring agents who tries, though still not properly informed/trained) Vodacom will take your money, delivering the service is at their ill-informed agents discretion.

Sincerely hope they wake up.

Hi
Glad part of the prepaid issue resolved. They probably going to keep the amount I recharged on the 22 Sept 2019.
2nd problem had to reopen another service request as they do not understand or read the emails I send them. They actually sent me a sms confirming how data usage works, yet that was my exact complaint/query. My data usage indicates on their app that the data expiring first is not used but rather the data that expires thereafter. *** my latest service call reference. Ps. 3rd ref no.same issue.
