No Vodacom Fibre service

So what is one to do when your fibre service goes down? Report to your ISP, of course! The only problem is that the ISP can offer no solution apart from throwing the problem over to Vumatel. And of course, their "process" is that it will take 24 - 48 hours just for someone to even look at it, never mind actually address the problem. I am now having flashbacks to the last time this happened and I was without fibre service for over a week. Fibre is not just a necessity, but also something I am paying for! And Vodacom can't deliver. Vodacom, just because something is your "process" or within your "time lines" it doesn't make it OK, or even reasonable customer service. Oh, and I can "apply" for a refund of the days without service. Gee, thanks, Vodacom - as a customer, that really makes me feel cherished. I'm going to be without fibre for days, spend a fortune on data so I can work, and maybe I can get some money taken off my bill.

Thanks Vodacom, your sense of urgency is truly incredible - "in due course" - I can tell you guys are on it. Meantime, my neighbour, who gets internet via Vox, also had an outage and Vumatel technicians fixed it in one day. I'm still waiting for the issue to even be assigned.
