No Vodacom customer service, only chasing the money! Beware of Rewards marketing!

I have been a Vodacom client for many years. I have a contract that have been with Vodacom since I signed up, more than 10 years ago, number ***.

Recently a telephone agent from a company called Rewards contacted me regarding an upgrade to my account. The agent confirmed that the cost of the renewal would be less than the current cost and include 1 GB of data. I never received any written confirmation of the contract details. The first time that I could check the details of the new contract was when I received my statement from Vodacom and realised that the cost was now nearly 10% higher. After I sent numerous e-mails to Vodacom Customer Care complaining about the ********** upgrade without receiving any response, I finally managed to contact them telephonically. They referred me to the service provider, where I lodged my complaint. They promised to investigate (investigation ref number: J03823) and revert back to me in 14 days, which they obviously did not do. When I again followed-up, I was just sent an e-mail that "Query deemed invalid as customer was made aware of the correct subscription R249 per month". EVen this information is incorrect, as the subscription is R294.78 per month or R225.21 after the special discount. Added to that is the 1 GB data, which I was told was included, as well as a contract fee of R9.90 per month, which was not disclosed in the discussions.

I want to cancel the upgrade, due the fact that it is not what I signed up for and the fact that the contract was therefore **********ly concluded.

In all me dealings with Vodacom, who is the service provider with whom I entered into the contract, they have just indicated that they cannot do anything. Even when I lodged an appeal on the finding of the investigation, they were not interested to assist. The last lady that tried to assist was a lady called Michelle.

However, I receive five calls a day from agents about the outstanding account, even though I clearly indicated that I will not settle the account until my complaint has been resolved.

Unfortunately, I have not yet received any formal feedback on my complaint. I do not know how it can be resolved.

Can you believe it, I get a message from Vodacom thanking me for the time and effort taken to voice my dissatisfaction about their poor service. And it the same message they indicate that their records indicate that feedback has been provided and the query has been resolved. Do you think that I have received any feedback? From Vodacom Customer Service? Well you are wrong if you think I did! I do not know who lies to who at Vodacom, perhaps the Rewards service provider, because I have not received any feedback and thus my complaint has definitely not been resolved. It is now more than a month since I first lodged my complaint and received a message from Rain that the case was rejected. After my appeal, I was informed that they are again looking into the matter and now this! Please Vodacom, surely you can do better!
