No use complaining about the service because there is none.

Not sure if this will make a difference, but all other avenues have been exhausted.

My Red VIP 44GB contract ended in March, I was paying R1848.86 per month up until February.

In March I was charged R2821.42 and in April R2982.98 for this same package. This is a 61.34% increase.

I wasted 1 hour and 40 minutes of my life on phone calls to the Vodacom call centre from the 4th of April until the 7th of May to try and get this resolved.

I was told that the reason for the increase was that I was out of contract and that I would have to go back into contract. While we were discussing the package options our call got cut off and I did not get a call back.

I then got my statement for May and almost had a heart attack. My bill for May for this single sim is now R7065.85. This is a 286.20% increase from my usual monthly bill. This is theft, plain and simple. :(

Again, no-one in the call centre can fix this, nor do they take responsibility, give a reference number or escalate this.

I was told to email ***, they told me to email ***. Emails to *** bounce back due to their mailbox being full. And this is supposed to be a 'Technology' company. Really ?

I emailed *** again and they told me to stop emailing them and to email *** instead.

I'm now at a dead-end. This basically amounts to theft on the part of Vodacom and their incompetence in actually resolving this issue is unbelievable.

I did get contacted by Vodacom after this post on Hellopeter. It's just very unfortunate that we need to resort to these channels in order to get any support, support that we are actually paying them for. :(

Unfortunately my issue has still not been resolved and my debit order to cover these *****ulent charges is due to be debited over the next few days. R7446.54 to be exact.

I'm posting this message here as a public record as I have no choice now but to put a stop to my debit order to prevent Vodacom from taking any money that is not due to them.
