No SIM card for new phone
In early March I went to Voadcom's shop in Somerset Mall to find out what the requirements are for upgrading my company-owned contract phone. They told me that I need a letter form the company, requesting the \upgrade\" and a copy of the owner's ID, plus my own ID.
On 10-03 I went there again with the documents, showed my old phone to the consultant, and got the new phone.
At home, I discovered that the new phone needs a micro-SIM, while I have the larger old one.
Today, I went there again, intending to get the SIM-card, only to be told that I need another, separate letter, for a so-called \"SIM-swap\".
They would not produce a micro-SIM, saying that using the letter from 10-03, as I then suggested, amounted to *****, and that those were the rules.
This is an outrage - Vodacom accusing their customer of attempted *****!
The consultants attitude was unhelpful, arrogant and agressive when I pointed out to them that this would require a fourth trip, plus added expense and inconvenience to produce yet another letter, while a R150 (!!) \" admin fee\" had already been charged by them.
So, I have an unuseable phone, despite the new contract having been signed already. That is the *****!"
