No signal of Samsung A3 2017 at my home
13 May 2017 I upgraded my contract for the Samsung A3 2017 from my Samsung S4 mini. After a period of about 3 weeks it came to my attention at 11pm that my husband was desperately trying to get hold of me and the A3 did not ring but went straight into voicemail. We live on a farm with no land lines. When comparing his call times with my call log it showed nothing and the sms messeage for voicemail only came through the following morning. Unbeknown to me this was happening with other calls as well and also whatsapp. This phone was taken back to Hemmingway Vodacom where I did the upgrade and was advised to take it to the repair centre at Vincent Park, which I did. The lady checked my settings (all in order) and changed the 3g to 2g and said it was in working order and sent me on my way. Barely home it dropped a call and had no calls for that afternoon. So I changed the setting to auto and later on received a whole bunch of whatsapp messages and still no calls came through. I went back to the Repair shop and complained and the lady took the phone into the back to the technicians an according to them they cleaned the aerial and speaker out on a 3 week old phone! Still did nothing to improve the signal at my home, in my chair where it stays when I am in the house. on the 10/06/2017 I went back to Vodacom Repair shop in Vincent Park. Furhter tests wehre done in hte technical room and given back to me. On the 13/6/2017, The phone was sent to Johanessburg for assessment after the EL technisions could not solve the issue job number : ********** 2- ********** 2. The person who booked the phone in also did not sate that this also happens at my home where my phone is. Something was replaced in my phone. Simcard was put into A3 in town and on the way home it dropped a call and no further calls came through again. Signal bars on A3 only the tip of the bars showed. I put the simcard back into the S4 Mini and had 4 full bars immediately and all messages came through. Was only able to take the phone back to repair shop on the 30/06/2017 Job CArd num: ********** 2- ********** 4. PHone was sent to Joburg again and returned with NFF. Same story as before no signal on A3 but full signal on S4 Mini. Martihinus de Coning emailed me the procedure to follow for this problem, which I did through Cynthia at customer care and Cynthia advised me to send it back to Johannesburg on an escalted repair. She also asked me to give her a call when I receved the sms to say phone had arrived in Johannessburg repair centre. Only she did not take my call when I called, did not repsond to interoffice email to return my call, and when I spoke to her again the next day the phone was NFF and sent back to EL. Since then I have been back to East London Vodacom repair centre, was told that nothing can be done for me, even though the S4 mini and a wifi device and data ****le have NO SIGNAL issues al all. I promptly went to the Stewart Drive Office and Vyuo tried to help me ~ after a few more call in person to her, Hulisani Ref number INC ********** 74111 called at my farm home on the 14th August to do testing of various devicies. He stat in my chair, put his devise where mine generally is, my S4 mini and the A3. ONLY the S3 had no signal. He did the various tests that needed to be done and his verdic to me was that the A# devise is faulty. I cannot have a phone that has no signal as my only means of communication on a far. I am an oncology patient and also cannot aford to not recevid medical calls when needed. I have absolutely no faith in the SAMSUNG A3 2017, have not received the bluetooth speakers that went with this phone at the upgrade time either. So Please tell me what do I do now. CPA time is nearly over. I have only used the phone for about 3 weeks. I want what I am paying for ~ just not an A3 2017. I have never ever before had a problem with any of my other divices, only this one. Please help as I am getting desperate for Vodacom to sort this issue out with a positive outcome. Thanks Jenny
