NO SERVICE VODACOM
I've received such bad - let me rephrase NO service from Vodacom. Since August/September 2019 most of my incoming calls have been sent directly to voicemail (with an on phone and full service bars). I've been losing business and handling irritated clients who can't get hold of me because of this. I've called Vodacom MULTIPLE times, I've been on HOLD for more than a 30min at a time since this problem started with NO resolve. An email was sent to higher management end of January 2020 who then monitored my phone for several weeks (changing settings and calling randomly). After 2 weeks the problem has still not been resolved. I then decided to cancel my contract and to pay the "penalty" required. (I can't see why I have to pay a company who doesn't provide the service paid for, and even with my patience, doesn't resolve the issue) I went into a Vodacom store with my request - AND YET AGAIN nobody was able to assist me with the cancelation process. I was given the customer care number to call, which I then did.again. After holding on for AGAIN about an hour and being put through to multiple departments I was told that my contract only expires in the year 2022 and that the cancelation fee will be a total of R22k - This was a MASSIVE shock as I haven't done ANY upgrades on my contract since 2018, after explaining this to the rude consultant an enquiry was put through, which would only be processed after 48 working hours (and I called on a Friday). After receiving an sms that the upgrade issue had been resolved, I phoned once again and patiently waited for someone to assist in sending a new cancelation quote on my 2018 contract. No quote was received. I had a WhatsApp number of a consultant form higher management who was monitoring my number and contacted her wit my request. The consultant calculated the cancelation amount and I asked for a formal quote with the process instructions to be sent, even after following up the day after - this was not done. I phoned Vodacom AGAIN the next day, was put on hold and transferred to different departments (each time going through the verification process, answering the same questions.) I requested a cancelation quotation with the process to be followed once more and confirmed my email address. STILL NO QUOTATION received in the past 24 hours. I contacted the consultant who's number I had on WhatsApp with my frustration who contacted me the next morning and finally sent the quote after my first request to Vodacom more than a week before. With the problem of my calls going directly to voicemail, I have lost or missed business opportunities to provide my own services to contacting prospects, who never get hold of me because of this "un-resolvable" issue. I'm really fed up with Vodacom as my service provider and reserve my rights to take further steps if this is not handled in a 100% satisfactory manor.
