No service? Sorry Vodacom cannot solve your problem...
The absolute worst service ever received from Vodacom!
I received a message from my parents(Pensioners) that they have lost service with Vodacom in their area(14/11/2022). I also tried getting a hold of them by contacting them but just get through to voicemail.
As such I have contacted Vodacom on the 15th Nov 2022 @ 09:18 from my own number indicating that there is a problem on the Vodacom network. I at first spoke to Hope. She indicated to me that they won't be able to assist me because they need to speak to the contract owner. I tried to explain that this will not be possible as they only have Vodacom contracts.
She told me that she would then not be able to assist me. I have then asked to speak to the floor manager which she then contacted. The floor managers name is Daniel.
Daniel also told me that they would not be able to assist me because they need to speak to the contract holder. I also explained to him that, that would not be possible as they have no way in contacting them as the Vodacom service tower in their area is off/broken.
He then suggested that they need to contact Vodacom through a third party to be able to solve the problem, or if that is not possible they need to drive to the nearest Vodacom shop to create a request.
IE. if you are a loyal Vodacom customer and do not share service with one of the other mobile providers and something happens on the Vodacom network, your *****ed.
Or you as a pensioner will need to Drive more than 120km to the nearest Vodacom shop to be able to get your problem solved.
Even me as the person trying to contact my parents cannot log the call, because guess what? The problem isn't in my area. We have to contact them from the area where the problem is originating.
There is a serious problem at Vodacom, if this is the logic they use to solve problems, it means that sooner rather than later, no one will be able to get their problems solved, unless you use a third party.
I'm just wondering. For argument sake, if there was a Vodacom shop in the same town, how would they then solve the problem? Use Cell C or MTN Data, because Vodacom own service isn't reliable?
Best regards,
