No service during power outages

The reception in Ballito, Salt Rock, etc is terrible for weeks at a time. Every time there is load shedding or a power outage, cell reception or internet connectivity (or both) goes out instantly.

If you can tell me that the revenue Vodacom receives from these areas isn’t enough to pay for battery backup to their towers then I’ll eat my hat.

For the rates we pay, we expect far less downtime! It’s such a cop-out to just rely on power being on, since everyone knows that Eskom cannot be re**** on.
