No response from Vodacom Fibre Service
On Saturday the 29th Jan 2022 my wifi stopped working. I called Vodacom opened up a Service Resquest and was told it would take 24 - 48hours for they to sort out the problem and determine if they need to send someone out. Monday I called for feedback a number of times and everytime I was told they will get the person assigned to my Service Request to contact me. Monday went by and no contacted me. Tuesday I also called a number of times. Then as well every consultant promised to call me back with feedback and guess what "NO-ONE CALLED ME BACK". Tuesday afternoon I had enough and decided to go into the branch in Richards Bay only be to told the person dealing with Fibre is on leave and will be back next week. So now from Saturday to today (Wednesday) I have no wifi at home. I have kids that have extra classes online. I work from home on certain days, so that's now not possible. My have a smart tv which I can't use because no network.
When I signed up for Fibre it was on a SUNDAY and the very same Sunday I had already received an sms from Vodacom telling me they will be installing the fibre etc that Monday. So, for new business Vodacom will work on a weekend. There was no delays with the installing. Once I became a customer of Vodacom it is now fine for Vodacom to now treat me a customer like my fibre problems is a petty matter that it is ok to no call and update a customer. No form of communication at all from Vodacom (sms, whatsapp, email or phone call) for a service provider this is just the worst service.
To Vodacom... If you decide to respond... Below is the sms that was sent to me with the service requst details.
Vodacom: Good day
Please see your service request number below : SR***

On the 10/02/2022 I had the exact same issues. Today is the 15/02/2022 and still no wifi at home. I have actually grown tired of calling your call center everyday and call the Vodacom shop that helped me sign up for wifi. Between Vodacom and the technicians each pass the blame. Vodacom said that the Techs will call when they coming and the Techs pitch up at home without calling. Honestly we are working people we can't sit at home and waiting for the techs to come as they please. Even thou every call I made to vodacom I said "Please call before coming over so we can make arrangements" I also stated that if no call is made and they enter my yard I will not be held liable if my dog attack a tech. Still Vodacom being a company that sells "COMMUNICATION" does not bother to call their clients unless they want more business. Call center agents told me a number of times "I will call you with feedback" or "I will get the person handling your service request to call you" they say they will call but no-one ever does.
I have reached a "boiling" point now.
SR*** - this is my second service request number.. Yesterday your technician pitched up at my house early in the morning without calling. My elderly mother was alone at home with my 2 dogs. She could chain them or control them. I told your techs to come back at 3. And asked why they never called me first, the technician told me the VODACOM should have called me to make an appointment, Anyways the tech never came back and I have received no feedback.
On top of that... I sent pics to the Vodacom shop manager to the fibre cables sticking out the ground at my house. And I was told it was not suppose to be like that... Now I ask you... Vodacom sends a tch to do the installation, I don't know head to tail of what they are doing how was I suppose to know that they did a **** job... It was not my fault your technician had a epileptic fit in my yard the day they installed the fibre. That day was a mess with so many techs walking in and out my yard. Vodacom you should really look at hiring out professionals, people that take pride in their work and that show some customer concerns. Not to treat costumers like we are petty trash... End of the day my premium that is debited from my account every month helps pay your bills...
