No Response – Delayed Tactic Until 6-Month CPA Period Expires?

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of response from Vodacom regarding my faulty device.

I purchased a brand new phone last year (paid cash). Within weeks, the device developed issues and was returned. There was no physical damage from my side.

It is now concerning that there has been ongoing silence, and I can’t help but feel as though this matter is being delayed intentionally until the 6-month Consumer Protection Act (CPA) period expires.

Under the CPA, consumers are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if goods fail within 6 months and are not of good quality. I have acted within this period and have been proactive in trying to resolve this matter.

The lack of communication is unacceptable.

I am requesting: • A formal response • Clarity on my rights in this matter • A resolution in line with the Consumer Protection Act

If this remains unresolved, I will have no option but to escalate this further through the relevant consumer protection channels.

I look forward to an urgent response.
