NO Respone - New Samsung Galaxy S9+ does not work
I still do not have my new phone after two months........ To add insult to injury Vodacom will once again automatically remove money from my account for a R18 000 phone that I do not have. There has been NO action taken from the Stellenbosch Vodacom shop, the so-called "customer service representative" from HelloPeter, the Vodacom Customer helpline nor the Vodacom customer compliant email. Absolutely nothing! It is a pity you cannot give negative ratings on this website. After being a Vodacom client for18 years, I for one will change from Vodacom at the first opportunity. It looks like I will have to continue with the new contract but with no phone because Vodacom is 'still repairing it' for the next two months the next 4 months, maybe the next year??..... As a warning to others, if you are thinking of switching to Vodacom don't! I certinaly will change as soon as I possibly can! ______________________________________________________________________________ I have a new contract with a new Galaxy S9+. It does not work and has a ‘no network registration’ error. I have been to 3 Vodacom shops and 3 Samsung shops. Nobody can fix it. The phone was most recently taken by Vodacom to repair (for 3 weeks). I was called to collect the ‘fixed’ phone. It was not fixed so it has now been taken back in and I am informed they will get back to me in 3 to 4 weeks. This issue was first reported to Vodacom on 2 June. I remind you this is an R18 000 phone this is about 4months old and despite the fact, the Vodacom continues to take money for the phone I have not had an operating phone for nearly two months and now I must wait at least another 4 weeks for a repair that may or may not work. I have phoned Vodacom customer care on at least three occasions pleading for help but none is given, I have visited 3 Vodacom shops and short of just sending the phone for repairs, again and again, no action has been taken.
I have been advised by a Vodacom employee that my only option is to post to this website or else take the phone and break it so I can claim for a new one on insurance!!!
Since I refuse to break the law because of the inability of one of the largest companies in SA to help a client of over 18 years, I am rather bizarrely attempting to get help via a 3rd part website. Let’s see if this works, all the visits to Vodacom shops and calls to repair centers and customer care line have not..... I will also post to the Samsung site maybe that will also help.....who knows.....I am not holding my breath.....
