No reasonable options to downgrade or cancel contract!

Hi,

I had to take out a data contract last year during lockdown as I had to work from home, in the meantime I have gone back to work and I am not utilizing the data at all. I contacted Vodacom to find out about my options to cancel after which I was given a quote of R12 265 to cancel (note I didn't get any device). I was given an alternative option to migrate to another "more useful" package, however I cannot take a device contract (which will be the only option that could actually be useful to me). The only option available is to downgrade to a lower data package but there is still a penalty fee of R9497!!

This is a ridiculous amount to charge a customer considering I am not receiving ANYTHING for this!

I've been paying this contract for a year already, and my utilization was less than 5%, you are giving me no options that would be of any value to me, but I have to pay thousands of rands.

I am very disappointed and shocked by the greed and poor service your company shows, especially compared to competitors that have reasonable options to cancel or downgrade. I don't believe that this is fair or reasonable way to treat customers at all!
