No luck with contract cancellation

Issues! Issues! Issues!!!! That is all that Vodacom can give me. I made a payment on the 21st of June 2016 for premature cancellation of my contract. I followed up with customer service again on Saturday 25 June 2016 to confirm if they received my payment as I sent my proof of payment and ID copy and the signed quote for your records to action. The agent confirmed that payment was received and that cancellation was actioned. I followed up again during the first week of July as I realised that my debit order didn't go off. The agent told me that they used the money I paid for the premature cancellation to settle my bill at the end of June. How rediculous!!!! All I want is for my contract to be cancelled an to retain my number on prepaid. It seems like no one know really what to do and the one agents forwards the call to the other. I have spent hours trying to finalise this, but still no solid communication has been received. I need an answer as to what is happening?

It's been 5 days since my review and no one has contacted me yet to confirm any progress on my cancellation.

So after posting the review above for the second time, Vodacom comes back to inform me that according to their records my contract only expires in December. What a joke? Now I'm instructed to phone Vodacom cancellations. Again I have to do their job. I now had enough!!!!! I need to speak to a manager as the agents don't know what they doing? Let's see how this plays out.

So my saga with Vodacom continues! Since my post on the 15th of July, my number was only placed on prepaid on the 1st of August. I have now been on prepaid for a month with ridiculous costs per minute for calls as it is now more evident of how expensive they really are since I'm on prepaid. I have now decided to port to Telkom as they are much more competitively priced. Needless to say, I had the best customer service so far from Telkom. From the start till the porting instruction, but then we needed the help of the Best Cellphone Provider in South Africa - Vodacom!!!!! Power to You! The porting wasn't actioned as Vodacom didn't release the number. I had to phone Vodacom again to sort this issue out only to find agents telling me that the number is still on contract (remember I've been using this number on prepaid for a month), also I have R478 outstanding (the last debit order went off the end of August and my number went to prepaid. I received the sms.) I then phoned the porting department only to find out that my number is stuck in the system because of the new system that they deployed!. How do you roll out a new system without testing it? I'm sure I'm not the only one who is receiving the bad customer service due to system issues. At this point I don't care what the issue is....this is your problem and it is making my life difficult. All I want is to port to Telkom asap. No use in being the best service provider, but not have customer service.
