No LTE access after upgrading to a contract

Two weeks ago my partner and I upgraded from pre-paid sim cards to contract sims with Vodacom. The contracts we upgraded to are data packages, because we really only use data on our phones. The service in the shop was friendly and efficient, however: since we were migrated to the contracts we have not had access to LTE on our phones. Prior to migration we had LTE access almost everywhere we went (including our home and places of work where we spend most time). I called the shop three times. Twice I was told I would be called back and wasn't. Each time I was given a different explanation for the fault: 'The whole network is down', 'Just give it a few more hours', 'We will activate the service for you now and it will work', but LTE was never activated. Eventually I gave up on the shop and called the Vodacom helpline. The person who helped me there was VERY helpful, going out of her way to test different potential causes. However, she was unable to solve the issue and said she would refer it on. We received a SMS saying our complaint had been logged but a week later we have not been contacted.

So it's two weeks since we upgraded, Two weeks since we complained, and still no solution.
