No loyalty

I'm due for an upgrade on the 03 September 2015, I saw a deal online for a Samsung Galaxy A3 for R299 on the Smart S plan which included a free Samsung galaxy gear 1, a week ago I enquired on whether I could do the upgrade so as not to lose out on the deal but was advised that I couldn't and now the deal is no longer online. Being a customer of Vodacom for the last 10 years or so I would think that there would be some loyalty to allow me an upgrade at least a week in advance but it seems not, now if I take the deal all I get is the phone but what drew my attention was the galaxy gear. I think a move to another network is in order to get some value for money.
