No Insurance, No reassurance

In particular, the Vodacom Store in N1 City: Shop 8

I was assisted on June 20th, 2017 by a store consultant named Michelle, I signed up for two contracts, requested insurance on both of them, was given copies of both the insurance forms and the contract forms. The insurance form didn't have my phone info and bank info filled in yet but Michelle told me, as this was already completed on another form, she would rewrite the info and submit the forms for Cellsure.

I was explained the insurance would deduct separately from the contract amounts, but didn't see this at the end of June when the prorated amount was deducted. The Caller ID, which I have to pay extra for, was not even activated, I had to go back into the store to get it activated and when I did this, I asked if the insurance was showing up, the consultant present that day (Saturday 1st July) told me she can't see it but says it takes time to show up but I insisted she be sure, to which she went to the back (to ask someone something) and came back to tell me it’s there.

She activated my Caller ID and I went on my way.

End of July, my Vodacom debit order goes off but still no insurance deduction.

I called Cellsure, they had no record of insurance for either of the phones I took out, and I then called the Vodacom store. I was informed that Michelle did not even submit the forms to Cellsure to have the insurance activated, apparently (I'm assuming she was reading some sort of annotation) there was a signature missing from one of the pages and she was supposed to call me to come back into the store, keeping in mind I watched Michelle recheck these papers before telling me everything was in order. The thing that infuriates me is that I was in the store within 21 days for this to be signed and submitted, and still it was not identified by the consultant that helped me when I returned to the store to the have the Caller ID activated.
I asked the person over the phone (something with an R) whose fault this was and she told me there's nothing they can do as the 21 days to submit the forms had passed and Michelle doesn't even work there any more (convenient). I asked for someone to take responsibility here and again she said there's nothing they can do, I mentioned coming to the store and making a scene but she welcomed it, and rep**** with "that's fine you can come".

Having worked in the customer service industry for over 10 years, this is the most disgusting customer service I've ever experienced. I took a chance moving from MTN to Vodacom but it's turned into the worst decision I've ever made with any network provider.
I sit with two phones, one for myself and for my girlfriend, with no insurance in case something ever happens, all because of careless consultants who **** and schemed me.

I spend a lot of my time giving positive feedback, but this negative experience of mine is going to last me this entire 24 month contractual period. And I do not plan to keep quiet about this for the duration of the next 23 months.
