No human works at Vodacom??

I am so irritated with Vodacom.

Context: 3 years ago sales agents roamed our neighbourhood selling Vodacom fibre packages. It was cheaper than my ISP at the time and I said I’m interested. The sales agent said that they would manage the change and ensure there’s no penalty. About two weeks back and forth with Vodacom, they were not able to do this. I then informed them that I am declining the service and will not proceed with a contract.

3 years later, I am being harassed by a debt collection company, Vodacom who has ghosted every correspondence, they’ve signed me up as a business to their service, they’ve taken one debit order and since I am not a Vodacom customer, the stupid chatbot is of no use.

This is appalling especially since I never signed up for anything except saying I’m interested. And ever since they’ve trapped me. I don’t even reside at the address anymore and I’ve spoken to many agents who have supposedly arranged the collection of the router. It’s still brand new in its box. But every time I follow up, I get no response.

Pathetic service!
