No help for pay-as-you-go clients. 2 weeks with no service.

My wife and I were hijacked just over 2 weeks ago. Both phones ******. We disabled or reset both phones. Went to a Vodacom shop to get 2 new SIMS's and have the numbers ported. On the contract phone the number was ported the next day and I was able to continue my business. On my wife's pay-as-you-go number, it did not work but we were also waiting for a replacement phone which arrived last week. After having the new Sim in the phone for 2 days my wife was adamant it did not work. So off to the shop again on Saturday only to find the number was not swapped to the new Sim card. So they do that and say we must wait till 2pm Saturday. We do this. So Whatsapp's start working but no calls. We wait some more. Then everything stops working. You can imagine the frustration from a wife without a cell for 2 weeks. On top of that is the recurring anger from the hijacking. It like being attacked again and again. I try calling 135 for help and they are so busy they say try again later. Another slap in the face and after 3 tries and another day, here I am one again. Seems like Vodacom has no help for customers with pay-as-you-go although we know the call rate is at premium cost.
