No Fibre and still paying more.

15 May - Vodacom fibre order completed. Uncapped 10mbps line at R650pm 19 May - Order confirmed 19 May - Appointment for fibre installation made 23 May - LTE awaiting delivery for the period before installation and activation of fibre (original contract states 100Gb) 26 May - 9AM day of appointment for installation (no one arrives till 1PM, apparently an error in their booking system). Installers arrive and tell me that fibre is not available in my complex (Vodacom had told me it was, hence I signed a contract for it). Installers are unable to put line in from the street for some reason, even though my unit is right next to the road. Installers leave, no fibre is installed.

LTE is delivered in the meantime, Vodacom receive many calls from me to try and determine why the signal of LTE is so bad, I cannot even have a Zoom call as the meeting is dropped several times by the poor signal. Somehow, in the mean time my 100GB meantime package is upgraded to 200GB.

Between then and now, there are numerous service requests as I try to determine how to get fibre. Vodacom is no help even after I tell them that I have permission from the trustees of my complex to install the line straight to my unit. Now, Vodacom sends me a bill of R1000 for the business LTE, the LTE costs more than my fibre contract is signed for, with worse signal and less data. Vodacom state that they can do nothing about this charge as this is what LTE costs.

My question is this, how can Vodacom offer a product that they can not provide and then charge me more for a product that I don't want. I cannot believe that Vodacom are making me pay for their own mistake!
